Article 1. PurposeFor the purposes of these Terms of Service

Thank you for choosing to use the "BACKND Service" provided by AFI, Inc. (referred to as the "Company"). BACKND offers convenient and easy-to-use game server services necessary for gaming and operations. These Terms of Service have been established by the Company to govern your use of the BACKND service, which is accessible through a BACKND account. These terms and conditions define the fundamental aspects, including rights, obligations, responsibilities, usage conditions, and procedures relevant to your use of the service.

Article 2. Definitions

The capitalized terms used in these Terms of Service shall have the following meanings, unless otherwise defined:

  1. "SERVICE" refers to the BACKND cloud infrastructure, BACKND API, BACKND Tools, bulletin boards provided on the website, and other software or services provided by BACKND, which are offered on the Company's website (https://www.backnd.com/) and all its subpages, or designated collaboration messengers.
  2. "MEMBER" refers to a customer who accesses the Company's service and uses the service provided by the Company in accordance with these terms and conditions.
  3. "ID" refers to the email address chosen by the "MEMBER" and approved by the "COMPANY" for identification and use of the "SERVICE".
  4. "PASSWORD" refers to a combination of letters or numbers chosen by the "MEMBER" to confirm their identity matching the "ID" and for the purpose of protecting confidentiality.
  5. "ACCOUNT" means a login account based on "ID" and "PASSWORD".
  6. "PROJECT" means a "software program" such as a game developed utilizing the BACKND service or utilizing a BACKND service.
  7. "END USER" refers to regular users who access the "MEMBER"’s game in a legitimate manner and actually use it.
  8. "POST" refers to all the writings or content created by the "MEMBER" on the forums, bulletin boards, or collaboration messengers provided by the BACKND service.

Except as otherwise defined in each Clause of Article 2 above, the definitions of terms used in these terms and conditions shall be governed by relevant laws, regulations, and general practices.

Article 3. Changes to These Terms of Service

  1. The Company ensures that users can easily access and review the content of these terms and conditions by posting them on the BACKND website (www.backnd.com) or providing a link to them.
  2. The Company reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms of Service at any time, within the limits that do not violate relevant laws and regulations, including Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions, Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, and Framework Act on Consumers.
  3. These standard terms and conditions are prepared in Korean and English, and if there is a difference, inconsistency, or conflict between the Korean and English (translation delay, etc.), the Korean version will take precedence.
  4. In the event of a material revision, the Company will make reasonable efforts to provide a notice period of at least 7 days prior to the new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined solely by the Company. However, in the case of changes that are disadvantageous to users or significant changes, such as limitations on member qualifications or withdrawal, the Company shall provide a notice period of at least 30 days in advance.
  5. Upon amending the terms and conditions, the Company will seek members' agreement to the application of the amended terms. If the Company includes a notice stating that members will be deemed to have accepted the amended terms, and if members continue to access or use the Service after the revised terms become effective, it will be understood that they have agreed to be bound by the revised terms.
  6. If you do not agree to the new terms, either in whole or in part, please discontinue using the website and the Service. In such cases, the Company or the member may terminate the service agreement.
